This is the plaque at the base of the "Golden Driller." If you can't quite read it, it says it's the "symbol of the International Petroleum Exposition. Dedicated to the men of the petroleum industry who by their vision and daring have created from God's abundance a better life for mankind." |

Next, to Foyil, Oklahoma. Home to the World's Largest Totem Pole. Can you see Bill in the door at the base of the totem pole? |

The totem pole's vital statistics. |

A view looking up from inside the totem pole. |

There were all sorts of "carvings" all over the totem pole. |

The giant arrow head was right in front of the totem pole. |

We weren't really sure what this was. We think it was some kind of birdhouse. There were holes all over it and birds were in and out constantly. The weird thing about all of these sculptures were that they were in someone's yard. They had signs all over that said it was a private residence. I guess they've had people knock on the door. |
|
Heading out of Tulsa we saw several of these signs. They cracked us up. I guess someone wasn't too happy about being caught in a speed trap. Sure enough, we saw several police cars with people pulled over. |
|
Right across the street from the turnpike gate in Big Cabin, Oklahoma was a giant Indian Chief. You can see just how big he is with the rig in front. |
