Ski Trip '09

The trees looked so pretty. Like they had frosting on them. |

When we took the picture while we were snowmobiling of us in front of Rabbit Ears Pass, our guide told us we were on the Continental Divide but there was no sign. We came across the official sign on our drive. |

Another Bill's feet picture. In front of the fire. |
Day 7: We got up super early to get to the airport. We had an early flight to Denver and then a connection to Austin. |
It didn't work out that way. A snow storm blew in right when our plane was supposed to land. It circled and the storm got worse and worse until it had to turn back to Denver. They told us there were no available flights on any airline until Monday. It was Saturday. They tried to get permission for a bus but couldn't get the OK. We were all stuck. |
We couldn't wait until Monday so Bill went to the rental counter and rented a car. We were going to drive to Denver. |
Since they couldn't get us out, they gave us our luggage back. |
We trudged back out in the snow so we could start driving. We knew we'd miss our connection but maybe we could still get to Austin today. |
