Christmas Cruise '12

When we were walking from the ship the beach looked really nice! |
But from the beach the ship looked so close! It was a little claustrophobic. |
We did some shopping and headed back to the ship. The water was so clear we could see big fish from the pier. |
A view of Grand Turk from the ship. |
Not many people at the pool. |
|
A turtle was the towel animal of the day! |
Day 3: Samana, Dominican Republic. |
Surprisingly, they made an announcement that Samana is very "rugged" and if you're not going ashore on an excursion, they encouraged you to stay on board. The few excursions we liked were sold out and we weren't that excited about them anyway so, we slept super late. When we got up, we were surprised to see it was pouring! |
When it stopped raining we went on deck to watch it rain in the distance. |
It was a nice day on board. We went to the casino, read a book, we even talked to some folks who went to Samana and their tender broke down. They had to be rescued by another tender. It sounded exciting. |
Nice dinner. The orchids were real. |
