Big windows

We had some nice windows to look out and see if there was an aurora happening before we threw on all of our layers of clothing!

Our room!

We had a loft so, technically, another couple could have stayed with us if we were travelling in a group. We were one of four rooms in a 4-plex log cabin.

At Nellim!

We made it to Nellim Wilderness Lodge! It was around lunch time, as you can see. This is the main lodge as well as the dining room. They gave us a cup of glögi.. It was really good! We got all checked in and ate lunch!

Eek!

A driver picked us up from the airport. It took about an hour to get to the hotel. Boy, were we glad we had the driver. First, it was snowing a lot. Second, as we drove on we could see less and less of the road and this guy was driving fast! He was definitely used to driving in the snow. I had to zoom in so much it kinda looks like a painting but you can see all the snow and no road visible out the front windshield.

Replacement toothpaste

We got up SUPER early and caught a cab to the airport. The guy at the front desk asked us, "How was your night in prison?" LOL!! So, we couldn't find our toothpaste. It seemed like a weird thing to leave behind since we pack as we use things but, it wasn't there. Luckily there was a pharmacy at the airport and they sold full tubes of toothpaste!

They did the prison theme everywhere. We even got tin cups to drink out of at dinner. We thought it was hilarious!
