Christmas in Spain

We left our house on December 9th and arrived back home on January 1st, 2015. It was 2/3rd road trip of Spain's castles and 1/3rd cruise to Morocco, Portugal, the Canary Islands, Malaga, Spain and back to Barcelona. Note: I'm posting pages as I finish them. This is only partially done.

Day 1

Leaving home and at the airport. Long day.
Day 2

We landed in Madrid, rented a car and drove to Cuenca.
Day 3

Exploring Cuenca, the cathedral, famous bridge, our parador.
Day 4

On the road to Alcañiz! Ventana del Diablo, birch trees, Parador del Alcañiz.
Day 5

Tour of the parador, walking through town, tour of the underground tunnels, back to the parador for dinner.
Day 6

On the road to Barcelona! Windmills, small towns, check out our very cool hotel, we return our rental car and eat at McDonald's.
Day 7

Our one full day in Barcelona! Rain, Hop on, Hop off bus; Sagrada Familia; Park Güell, Christmas lights, walking back to the hotel.
Day 8

Boarding the cruise, Norwegian Spirit. We have to do laundry!
Day 9

Day at sea. Laundry done! Relaxing, art auction, yummy dinner.
Day 10

Marrakech, Morocco. Long bus ride, Bahia Palace, traditional Moroccan lunch, Koutoubia Minaret, Saadian Tombs and Garden, Jemaa el-Fnaa Bazaar, cobras, monkeys, storytellers, fortune tellers, and magicians!
Day 11

At sea. Laundry, gambling, German and Japanese food and we won some art!
Day 12

Madeira, Portugal. Riding toboggans and cable cars, wine tasting, hilarious tour guide. Starting to get sick.
