Rainy

Cold and rainy in London.
The Concorde!

So cool to see the Concorde while we were taxiing out to take off! Neither of us had ever seen the Concorde in person.
Helsinki!

Flying in to Helsinki, our first taste of darkness in the afternoon. This photo was taken at 2:16 pm.
Hotel Katajanokka

We stayed at the Hotel Katajanokka in Helsinki. It used to be a prison and they've converted it in to a hotel.
Thick walls

You can see at the window how thick the walls are! It was too dark to take photos outside but the security wall was still outside…
Two cells

It looked to us like our room was made of two cells.
Nice rooms

The rooms were a little small, I mean they were former prison cells after all, but they were really nice!
Short

The doors were so short! We thought maybe they were the same height as the cell doors? Just a guess.

You could definitely see how it was an old prison when you were in the hallway.

They had the old prison gates in the hallways.

We couldn't get over how thick the walls were!

Except for this setting I'm sure a Christmas tree was never by the prison gate.
Very prison-y

It looked VERY much like a prison looking from the first floor up through the middle.
Tin cups

They did the prison theme everywhere. We even got tin cups to drink out of at dinner. We thought it was hilarious!

One last artistic shot before we head to bed. We have an early flight tomorrow morning!
