Egypt Trip

Luxor P.39

The entrance to the temple complex was originally had six statues of Ramesses II – four standing, and two seated – but only the two seated statues are left.

The matching pair to the obelisk now sits in The Place de la Concorde in Paris.

Checking out our shoes. A lot of us were wearing Keen sandals.

Michael with the head of a statue.

These sphinxes lined the entrance.

Tonya and Beth packed separately and yet they brought the exact same shoes. Good friends!

The entrance wall was decorated with scenes of Ramesses' military triumphs, particularly the Battle of Kadesh.
