Egypt Trip

Luxor P.29

The likeness of Queen Hatshepsut on a column. Most of the time she was portrayed as a man.

Manal is explaining the men are dancing.

All of this was outside in the open air. We were amazed that there was so much paint left.

Queen Hatshepsut died in 1458 BC.

The sanctuary was barred off.

This is what we could see of the sanctuary.

On the wall, the representations of the trees she brought back from Punt. The same trees who's remnants are at the entrance.

There was one of these on each side of the ramp to the upper levels.
