Egypt Trip

Luxor P.27

The first tomb we went to was the tomb of Rameses IV. He died in 1149 BC.

Manal is telling us about the tomb's chambers and hieroglyphics.

No photos allowed in any of the tombs.

King Tut's body is in his tomb. He's unwrapped and in a glass temperature-controlled case.

There was also one of the outer caskets. It was wooden and painted gold

By the time we got to The Valley of the Kings it was very hot!

We were free to go to a choice of around 3 other tombs. Since we had already been to one, we had to pick 2 more. We went to the tomb of Ramses I next.

The tomb was beautiful inside. It looked like it was painted last week! Ramses I died in 1290 BC. It wasn't too crowded when we got there but when we were coming out of the tomb, it was very crowded.

The last tomb we saw was the Tomb of Ramses III. It was the longest tomb we saw that day. It also had very vibrant paint. Ramses III died in 1155 BC.

The crowd as we were leaving the tomb.
