Candy
They had these great sour candies at all of the Paradores. We grabbed them every chance we got.
On the menu it said, "Hamborgeusa." I told Bill to ask what that was because it was "hamburger" but misspelled. Well, it was a bull burger which got us in to a conversation about what the burgers in the US are made of. Boy cows or girls? Bill ended up not liking it much.
We decided on a ham and cheese sandwich for the night. Something easy.
The bar is the old chapel and cloister of the convent. It was interesting drinking a beer with this overhead.

The first night we stayed at the Parador Bill ordered room service pizza. The guy didn't understand English very well and kept saying, "Hake?" Bill said OK. We had to call them back and tell them no Hake on the pizza. We didn't even know what Hake was. When we went to the bar, we saw Hake on the menu. It's fish.
Pretty view out our room window. We could see they were still filming that commercial too.
It was decorated very Christmasy!
The original doorways were VERY short! Now they're pay telephone booths.
They modernized the building but still lef the details of the old convent.
When we got close to the bridge there were tents on the far side and a lot of people. It also looked like they were keeping people from crossing.
