Back on the bus
A 4-hour ride back to the ship.

Abdul
He was nice. He didn't speak much English.

Sales
The problem with standing still to wait for the bus is, anyone who was selling anything came by: art, people tried to put necklaces and scarves on us, belts, they had counterfeit iPhones, they were delling anything you could think of and they tried to get it in your hand or around your neck.

Back early
Most people came back before the 40 minutes were up. The bus wasn't there so we waited by the wall. That's our tour guide Najit in the black robe.

Unhappy monkey
The monkeys didn't seem very happy. They were on chains and I felt sorry for the one in the dress.

Monkeys
We made it around to the corner with the monkeys. There was even a monkey in a pink dress.

More snakes
We took a secret picture of some different guys with snakes so they wouldn't charge us. These guys had a drum and I think a snake charmer horn like you see in the movies.

Food stall
Steam and probably smoke coming from a food stall. They started cooking for the night.

Fruit and nuts
There were a lot of orange juice stands all around the square. The nuts looked good but we didn't buy anything. We just walked around and checked everything out.

Locals and tourists
This is the main square of Marrakesh. It's used both by locals and tourists.

Souk El Jadid
A "souk" is an open-air market or bazaar. Each souk sells different wares such as spices, leather goods, etc. This souk sells traditional artisian products (lamps, leather goods, clothing) and has restaurants.

Happy!
I'm very happy that I got my cobra photo!

Awesome!
I just loved the snakes!

Snake Charmer
We got a lot of photos of the snake charmer. I was hoping he would be on the ground with the cobra, like in the movies, but he put the snake on his face. Still cool.

Cobra
I really wanted a photo of the snake charmer with a cobra. We settled on $2 and he immediately tried to put the cobra on Bill's shoulders! YIKES! Bill accused me of trying to kill him for $2. Hee!

Baby snakes
As soon as we walked up he put two small snakes around my neck. They were just babies.

Snakes!
The main thing I wanted to see...a snake charmer!

Medina of Marrakesh
We finally got to the part Bill and I were looking forward to. This was why we picked the Marrakesh excursion. As soon as the bus stopped, our tour guide said to be carefulout there! As soon as we step off the bus we'll be a target. People WILL try to steal our wallets, our cameras, anything we have. Do NOT leave the square. Some people followed a local off the square and it didn't end well. We wary of everyone. Then he said we're supposed to be there for 20 minutes but as a treat he's going to give us 40 minutes. Have fun! Yeah. That set a good tone!

Sales pitch
He had a good sales pitch and Morocco is where Argon oil is from so they had good, cheap Argon oil products!
