Classic cars!
There were WAY less classic cars in Cienfuegos than in Havana. It kind of reinforced what our guide said, that they're for the tourists. I still liked them.

I just like this picture with the building and the car parked on the corner.
Some people were trying to fix a car in the parking lot. It was definitely a group effort,
This is the street outside of Fusterlandia proper. You can see the facades are tiled all the way down the street.

Our tour guide told us that the classic cars were for the tourists only. Not a lot of people owned classic cars, they own Russian and Japanese cars. The classic cars had been rusting in most people's yards until they figured out the tourists liked them. Interesting.
This cute little car was used in the film "Blue Hawaii" and was also part of Elvis' personal collection. In the mid 60s he gave the car to his secretary who later traded it at a car lot in Hollywood. A chef who worked on Elvis' movie, "Spinout." later bought the car and gave it to his daughter as a wedding gift.

I included this photo not to read about the car but because it was the best way to see that he also put his initials and his logo, "TCB," on the inside of the car as well. This was a very personalized car!

This car was built by the legendary "kustom" car designer George Barris in 1966. It was used in the movie "Easy Come, Easy Go" – it features surfboards as seatbacks, shag upholstery, a "Go-Go" buton on the dashboard, a meat thermometer temperature gauge and orange porch lamps. After the movie it was repurposed as the Jokermobile on the "Batman" TV series.
