June 1999 Las Vegas Trip

We arrived in Las Vegas On June 3rd in the afternoon.

We stayed at the newly remodeled MGM Grand Hotel. We gambled there the first night.

The second day we went to the newer hotels. This is the atrium in the Bellagio Hotel and Casino.

Here's Kris in front of the left side of the garden.

Here's Kris in front of the gazebo in the back of the garden. Are you sensing a weird Kris theme here?

To the left of the garden is this really great staircase. We think it goes up to the gallery. For $10 you can see original Picassos, Cezannes and Van Goughs just to name a few.

This clock tower is on the left side of the Bellagio.

On the right side of the Bellagio is the Via Bellagio. It has stores like Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Tiffany & Co., etc.

In front of the Bellagio is a huge lake where you can get a ride on a real gondola.

Across the street from the Bellagio is the Hotel Paris. It was still under construction while we were there.

We also went to the Venetian but we didn't take any pictures. Then we went to Caesar's Palace. This is in the Forum Shops. It's the entrance to F.A.O. Schwartz.

We love this one shop in the Forum Shops. It's called Antiquities International. We bought this alien man candy dish there. We named him YAB.

Caesar's has a 3-D motion ride called "The Race for Atlantis". It was pretty good but not the best 3-D we've ever seen. This is the statue in front of the ride.

Here's a picture of Kris in front of the Mirage.

Here's one of the white tigers on display in the Mirage.

We went to the Hard Rock Casino for the first time. We really liked it, and we won!

The next day we went to the Treasure Island

And New York New York. This is the back side of the hotel. The Statue of Liberty is on the other side. I just thought it was a good picture.

The Mandalay Bay had some really cool clubs and a great pool area. We didn't take any pictures since it was so dark. They also had a House of Blues off of the casino.

We went to a lot of other casinos but didn't take pictures since we had been there a million times. We would have broken even if we hadn't gone for it and subsequently lost it all but, hey, you can't win big if you don't try. We ended our trip with our traditional self-taken picture.
